Every year the Rotary Club of Hall host a Remembrance Day ceremony at the cenotaph constructed by the club at Hall.
The cenotaph area was renamed ‘Jim Rochford Grove’ following the passing of Jim Rochford, at 102. Jim was a founding member of the the Rotary Club of Hall the man at the helm of many of the village’s improvements through his 32 years on the Progress Association.
Jim also instigated the construction of the cenotaph and the tradition of the Rotary Club holding a Remembrance Day ceremony for the village each year.
This year November 11 was a rainy rainy Saturday and many were preparing for a wet ceremony. Fortunately, the rain abated long enough for the service.
As has become tradition, the club put on some food for the locals after the service and many stayed around chatting well into the evening.

The service is a terrific opportunity for families to get together and remember those who have given so much so that our youth may have so much opportunity.
