President Yvonne Robson presented a cheque for $6,500 to Bill Bashford & Brad Moggeridge at our Capital Region Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning 22 July for their ongoing community support programs that focus on indigenous families in the Canberra Region; both in schools and other indigenous activities building resilience and trust through youth and adult mentors.
Bill Bashford of SOLIDS stated a line from a Ngunnawal Primary School song;
‘Life’s a Boomerang, what you give comes back to you!’
He offered ‘massive thanks’ to the Rotary Club of Hall who kindly donated support to the SOLIDS Sista’s & Brotha’s Program.
‘This much needed support will go towards our Junior Mentors Program and in particular our trip to Murama later in the year. At SOLIDS we believe in mutual respectful relationship and more importantly the values of community. We look forward to growing our friendship and the future opportunity to support the Rotary Club of Hall.’
‘Thank you all once again, your generosity is appreciated, means a lot, will have an impact and gives us hope!’
