This week we had a social evening at Murrumbateman with the Rotary Club of Yass.
Our President Graeme and Yass President Scott Bourke ran the evening in tag-team fashion. The main objective of the evening was fellowship and we all had plenty of time for chat.
Graeme gave the 43 attendees an overview of the activities our club engages in and he outlined some of the challenges the club faces into the future and President Scott responded in kind.
Yass operates in a similar fashion to Hall and has a particular focus on youth through their New Generations initiatives. This is an area that President Scott is particularly active in.
It was an enjoyable social evening and both Presidents agreed to chat at the upcoming District Conference about possible future joint club activities.

Rotary Club of Hall’s President Graeme, 9710 District Governor Monica and Rotary Club of Yass President Scott.
District Governor Monica was in attendance and she congratulated both clubs on our focus on youth, emphasising the importance of supporting youth as ‘they are the future of Rotary’.
She urged all clubs to continue to support the effort to eradicate Polio as she believes that many clubs have grown tired of the fight… and we really are ‘this close‘.
The District Conference is on 23-25 October 2015.
