Congratulations to the ACT Women’s Team for their excellent effort in 2019.

The Rotary Club of Hall was delighted to help support the team with a donation of $500 to help cover the team’s expenses at this year’s competition.

Ivor Burge is the National Basketball Competition for people with an intellectual disability. The Australian Basketball team for People with an Intellectual Disability made their international debut at the 1992 Paralympic Games in Barcelona.

After this, the Australian Sports & Recreation Association for People with an Intellectual Disability (AUSRAPID), together with Basketball Australia, created the Ivor Burge Championship.

They named the tournament The Ivor Burge Championship after Ivor Burge, who was one of the founding fathers of Basketball in Australia.

Well done.
