We have continued to do many great projects this year. We have helped other clubs in other regions to build terrific community projects. We have continued to develop and support our Youth and Vocational Scholarships and we have made significant contributions to international projects that help so many less fortunate than ourselves.
Of course, we are known as the club that runs the Capital Region Farmers Market. It is our income we derive from the market that enables us to fund all of these community projects.
Many people visit our market every Saturday morning and, although we not generally good at it, we do, on occasion, get news out about some of the great things we are able to achieve. But what you don’t see is the team of Rotarians that worked tirelessly behind-the-scenes to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Pictured above is 71-year-old Ken Spencer one of our long-standing members installing new wheels on the mobile kitchen that we bring out and assemble on the 1st Saturday of every month for the apprentice chefs cooking demonstration.
