Rotary Club Of Hall Wins Trifecta
by President Yvonne
Three new members inducted in one fell swoop was a record for the club. Club members were delighted when Assistant Governor Leo Farrelly recently inducted three prominent members of Hall Village and District to our Rotary Club.
Leo had husband and wife Steve and Melissa Reynolds with Phil Robson laughing out loud, along with the jubilant club members as Leo repeated their induction.
Melissa and Steve, are already a very busy couple with their work, family and volunteering. They both work full-time and volunteer at Lifeline Bookfair as well as for the Hall Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade where Melissa is President, a role she has performed for 6 years. Steve is an accomplished rower and Vice Captain of the Black Mountain Rowing Club. They run a small property near Wee Jasper that captures a little bit of the Valley's magic in their Wee Jasper Wine label as well as growing vegetables for the local café's kitchen. Great experience to assist at our Farmers Market!
Phil Robson was the honorary curator of the Hall School Museum and Heritage Centre for 7 years until he stepped down in August. He continues as a Museum volunteer. He is also a member of the Hall Mens Shed, Hall Collectors club and is a member of the Hall School site sub-committee. Phil was awarded a Rotary Community Service Award in 2014 followed by a Paul Harris Fellow in 2016. In August 2017 he was awarded Life Membership to the Hall School Museum and Heritage Centre.
A truly memorable evening for the Rotary club!
