Bulletin No 06/16-17 (21-8 2016)

Hi reader,

Firstly, I must apologise as I didn't manage to find time to get the Bulletin out before last Tuesday. As far as I'm aware only Pres Paul sent a report in anyway - and as I don't have one from him this week, I've just his previous week's report in its stead.

Last Tuesday I was guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Yass so unfortunately I wasn't present for the general business of the weekly meeting - (arriving just in time to sing the national anthem).

As I wasn't there and no Directors have sent reports for inclusion in the Bulletin, this weeks Bulletin is made up from what I know.

See you all next Tuesday. - ED

Martta had a big weekend in Sydney at the City2Surf running first with the Podmore Foundation supporters and then with the Rotary team. We managed to get all the Rotary supporters into the Fairfax VIP function after the event - where we ate and drank for hours.

Later we all joined Past President Graeme and his family for drinks and dinner at Balmain. Graeme also ran in event finishing a minute faster than your Editor.

Martta saw her first Aussie Beach and on the way home via the coast she patted a 'wild' kangaroo and had fish and chips at Batemans Bay. All in all, a pretty memorable Exchange experience.

Two PHF's Were Presented

As neither Bill Pearson nor Tony Howard attended the club's Changeover Dinner a while ago, finding a suitable night to present them each with a PHF has been somewhat of a challenge.

None-the-less, it all took place at last Tuesday's meeting where PHF's were presented by PDG Bob Greeney. Bill's was presented by District 9710 in recognition of his work at District conferences setting up and managing the AV equipment. Tony's PHF was presented by the club for his service to the CRFM.
