Bulletin No 44/15-16 (24-6 2016)

Hi reader,

Wow, this is issue 44 of the Bulletin... how time flies!

Last week I explained that the market roster is on the calendar - and guess what - it wasn't! – thank you Vic for actually looking.

As it turns out, it is on our Google Calendar, but for some reason the updates aren't porting across to the club website as they are meant to. I haven't had a chance to look into the glitch as my Rotary time has been tied up in development of the ARHsport website and in particular the Rotary Sport Directory.

Best Wishes – ED

Invitation to Breakfast

Another thing taking up my time has be the organisation of the launch event for the new Australian Rotary Health Sport program.

All of the City2Surf Legends will be Running for Rotary in this year's City2Surf. 20 of these men will be at the launch function where they will be presented with their special Rotary livery; including the very lively 84 year old Charles Rochester.

As Ambassador of Australian Rotary Health, I'll be the speaker. As a member of Rotary Club of Hall (there is a link from the ARHsport contact page to our club site) it would be nice if some RCH Rotarians were able to attend?

The launch will take place on Friday 15 July at the Rotary Club of Sydney Cove on board a Captain Cook Cruises boat tied up near the Opera House. It's a 7:15am for 7:30am start in case anyone wants to visit the 'big smoke' for breakfast?

Weekly Reports

Presidents John's Report

Perhaps expecting some fall out, President John donned a hard hat and welcomed us to the Hall Museum.

In a moment of deja vu, he again expressed his thanks to club members for chipping in and helping over the past year before telling us he is looking forward to Changeover.

Club Service

Reminder to check out The Club Calendar all upcoming event information should be here!

NB: Your timely RSVP by 6:00pm Sunday is appreciated. Responses after this time cause all organisers logistical difficulties and as such you may be unable to attend.

DON'T FORGET

Changeover next Tuesday.

Finance:

Nothing to report.

Community:

Denis reminded us of the BBQ at Fraser Primary School on July 2nd (he has sent out an email request for helpers)

Youth:

No report this week however, Gerardas gave us an update of his last few weeks in Oz. This was his last casual update until we hear his official 'year in review' on July 5.

International:

Nothing to report.

CRFM

Peter's report was much the same as the previous week. It was another wet but successful market.

Last Tuesday in the Club room

A Night at The Museum

Vicki presented the story behind the creation of the clay dioramas of three buildings at Ginnenderra by the team of volunteers at the Hall Museum. Clearly a Vicki was very much up to her elbows in mud throughout the project.

Kingsley was mentioned in dispatches for his marvelous work making miniature fences, anvils etc.
