Bulletin No 43/15-16 (19-6 2016)

Hi reader,

I usually get the Bulletin out before our Saturday market but realistically this schedule isn't as important now that all the coming events and the market roster are on the club calendar. Those who have either looked at the calendar (or subscribed to it) will have seen that the calendar is always kept up to date.

Think of this as a reminder that whenever you want to know what is happening - just check out the calendar!

Due to last weeks meeting being a Club Assembly, minutes will be circulated to members via email, so this weeks Bulletin contains mostly other news.

Best Wishes – ED

Editor's Update

The reason this Bulletin is a few days later than planned is because I've been working on a new project for Australian Rotary Health that is aimed at generating higher visibility for Rotary and improving physical and mental health in the community.

This new ARHsport website has just gone live yesterday. This site will be announced to Rotary clubs next week.

Expect to hear more about this in coming months.

Market Roster

The Capital Region Farmers Market Roster is now in the Club Calendar.

Please view the roster on the club calendar or you may choose to subscribe to the calendar and have the club events appear in your own calendar on your phone, tablet and computer. (Recommended)

Weekly Reports

Presidents John's Report

President John welcomed us to the club room and expressed his thanks to club members for chipping in and helping over the past year.

As it was a Club Assembly, if he said anything else that was important it will be in the minutes!

Club Service

Reminder to check out The Club Calendar all upcoming event information is here.

NB: Your timely RSVP by 6:00pm Sunday is appreciated. Responses after this time cause all organisers logistical difficulties and as such you may be unable to attend.

DON'T FORGET

We are at the School Museum on Tuesday and the theme is 'Turn of the Century' (1900) There is a request that we all wear a hat!

PS: I didn't want to put a photo of a bloke wearing a hat in case I inadvertently appeared sexist, so this pic shows a woman with a blokes hat and I don't expect to get complaints from the blokes! – ED

Finance:

No Finance report this week.

Community:

Denis reminded us of the BBQ at Fraser Primary School on July 2nd (you can vote while you are there).
He is waiting for exact times that members will be required to help... Stay tuned!

Youth:

No report this week.

International:

Yvonne told us that her committee had committed another $2500 for Karin Wong to attend the Global Leadership Institute.

CRFM

Peter's report was much the same as the previous week. It was another wet but successful market.

Last Tuesday in the Club room

Pizza for All

The pizzas were a bit ordinary (hence lots of left overs!) but the fellowship was fantastic.
